About Me

Logan Butler has previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Piedmont Judicial Circuit (Barrow, Jackson and Banks counties) and the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit (Forsyth County).  As a prosecutor, Mr. Butler obtained invaluable experience in preparing felony, misdemeanor and juvenile criminal cases for trial and then taking those cases to trial.  Mr. Butler specializes in Criminal Law cases such as crimes of violence, sexual offenses, DUI, drug cases, family violence, assault, battery, murder, juvenile cases and all other felony and misdemeanor criminal offenses.  As your lawyer, Mr. Butler will work with you to prepare your defense and zealously present your case to help ensure the best possible outcome.

Mr. Butler also represents clients in Family Law and Juvenile Law matters such as divorce, child custody and support, alimony, restraining or protective orders and deprivation proceedings.  He works closely with his clients on these matters to develop the most effective trial strategy possible while keeping your best interests in mind.

Mr. Butler graduated from Mars Hill College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.  He worked as a biologist helping industry, land owners and land developers navigate the variety of rules and regulations imposed on them by the state and federal governments.  His work as a biologist inspired him to change careers and he enrolled in law school at Georgia State University’s College of Law.  Mr. Butler was a member of the College of Law’s Moot Court and served on the Moot Court Board as Vice President of Appellate Advocacy.  Mr. Butler graduated cum laude and has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2005.

I worked with Logan while he was an Assistant DA in Forsyth County and I was an intern waiting on my Bar results. Logan is a hard working, knowledgeable lawyer with great trial experience gained through years of prosecuting that he now brings to the defense side of the law. He's also one of the nicest guys you'll meet in this line of work.
