  • What do I do if an insurance company denied my car accident claim due to word-of-mouth?

A car slightly collided with mine, and it left minimal damage. Georgia Farm Bureau has denied my claim due to "word-of-mouth". A police report was filed.

    Bruce’s Answer

If you can't get the insurance company to pay your claim voluntarily, then you can always seek justice in Court by filing a lawsuit. Depending on the amount of damage involved, you can probably file in the appropriate Small Claims Court in your area, which is usually a faster way to get a result than a full blown jury trial. Good luck

  • Can Geico not pay a claim because of the relationship of the claimants?

my mom hit my car while backing out of the driveway

    Bruce’s Answer

The law in every State is different but there are circumstances in which the relationship of the claimants to the party responsible for the wreck could preclude coverage. You should contact a personal injury lawyer in your State to get a definitive answer. Good luck.

    Bruce’s Answer

You should contact an attorney in your State who handles matters such as these. Unfounded accusations can be difficult to attack and don't always lead to damages, but you may have a claim. Good luck.

    Bruce’s Answer

You may be able to get your insurance company to obtain a release from the other side that would relieve you of any further responsibility to the family of the deceased. If that doesn't happen, you can contact a lawyer and take steps to protect your assets. You need to talk to a lawyer right away.

Every State has it's own Statute of limitations. If this incident happened in Florida you may be subject to a 2 year statute. You are running out of time and may already be out of time. You need to contact a local medical malpractice lawyer immediately. Good luck

I'm getting a revision surgery in two weeks to replace my ceramic ball and plastic liner, of my Depuy pinnacle hip implant. My lawfirm I am with Weitz and Luxenberg told me they only deal with metal on metal. I've had this hip implant put in me in...

    Bruce’s Answer

You should certainly get another opinion on whether you have a viable claim, but Weitz and Luxenberg knows what they're doing in this class action. If your claim is not one of the recalled models, then there's nothing that they or anyone can do for you. Depuy makes many different models of hip implants, not all of which are covered by the settlement. For example, if Ford issued a recall on Ford Fusions, that wouldn't apply to someone who owned a Ford Taurus. Good luck.

    Bruce’s Answer

While the answer to your question is yes, that doesn't mean that you have a suit worth filing. With no injuries to show you would be taking on a difficult task in suing the City without the likelihood of a substantial award. Sorry

You would be smart to contact a local personal injury attorney to discuss your rights. Your landlord has certain obligations to you that must be met. These obligations can vary from State to State so be sure to find a reputable lawyer in your area that handles these cases. Good luck.

    Bruce’s Answer

Send a written notice to the attorney that you're terminating his services and request that the entire file be sent to you ASAP. Send the notice in a way that will provide you with proof that it was received, such as Certified Mail or Fed Ex. Then hire a reputable lawyer to help you. Good luck.
