State v. C.K. Gwinnett State Court

Case Conclusion Date: 11.07.2013

Practice Area: DUI & DWI

Outcome: 2/5 DUI Reduced to Reckless Driving

Description: Arrested by DUI Task Force Officer for DUI and improper lane change. This was client's second arrest within 6 months. Client hired another attorney for the first of her two pending DUIs. He told her she could not beat her DUI and she plead guilty. Dissatisfied with the results, she retained Lance to represent her in her second DUI because she was facing 30 days jail, 2 year license suspension, 240 hours of community service. $1,000.00 fine and additional penalties. Prior to the motion to suppress hearing, Lance was able to show the solicitor that the State would lose evidence at the hearing and the case would become much stronger for the defense after motions. The DUI and improper lane change were dismissed during a negotiated plea to reckless driving (no jail, no license suspension, and a $500.00 fine). 2013D-05206-4
