Emily Brown, a former police officer, currently represents volunteer guardians ad litem in child abuse and neglect cases on behalf of the Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program. Additionally, Emily has experience working on tort, consumer, and child custody cases. Emily pursues her interest in technology and privacy law as a member of the American Bar Association Science & Technology Section Information Security Committee.
Emily graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from North Carolina State University. Emily hopes to resume her law enforcement career one day and stays current with her membership in the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section. In the meantime, Emily enjoys keeping children safe and helping families stay together whenever possible.
