When looking for a lawyer you want someone who will do their job and do it right. James is a great lawyer and I would recommend him to anyone. Not only was he fast but also very helpful I'm explaining every detail of the process.

Mr. Minick is one of the kindest most compassionate people I have ever met and is a top notch attorney. He truly cares about his clients and it shows. He does not judge or make you feel like a bad person. I will be forever grateful for everything he did for me. So if you find yourself in a situation where you need a dui attorney I wouldn't look any further than James Minick.

I was stopped at a DUI check point back in November of this last year. This was my first DUI and while my BAC was extremely low, I was still over the limit. I was solicited via the postal service from at least a dozen law firms with the bulk of them suggesting a threatening out look if I didn't contact one of them immediately. Jame's packet of information arrived as well, though his plan was one of education and a more positive outcome. He gently explains the potential pitfalls and answers your most immediate questions with spot on accuracy. He met with me personally, explained how we would navigate the court system together.
He followed up with with phone calls, met every dead line, guided me through the court system and managed to get me the most lenient sentence available. I am still driving my car with a limited driving license and am able to take care of house hold maintenance issues without having to rely on friends.
In the broad scheme of things the money was worth every penny I paid to James. Maybe I could have navigated through the court system and maybe I could have gotten lucky with just the right judge though I wasn't willing to take that chance.
I highly recommend James to anyone who might need this kind of help. He's professional, honest and down to earth humble. Call him!

James Minick is professional, patient, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I was charged with a DUI, and he formed a suppression of evidence argument based around an unlawful stop. I know nothing about court and legal jargon, but James would patiently explain detailed answers to all of my (often redundant) questions. There were a few times that I went into an emotional panic about my situation and what it could mean for my future, and James' sweet secretary was always available to listen to me and calm my nerves. James would invariably get in touch with me quickly if I wanted to speak to him directly, ready to listen with an open heart and mind. While in court, he would consistently check in with me, making me feel safe in that strange and unfamiliar environment. I strongly recommend him for DUI cases!

I hired James Minick because I wanted an attorney that knew all the ins and out of a DWI case. Minick Law had a very promising website, so I decided to give Minick Law a chance. I was not disappointed. From beginning to end, James did an excellent job representing me in my DWI case. James showed me that he is a DWI expert. He presented extremely strong questioning to the state trooper on the stand. He had the state trooper confess on stand that he had made mistakes while administering tests. Throughout the trial, james had a strong, well thought out game plan. I was very comfortable and relaxed as he cross examined the state trooper. James put tremendous pressure on the state trooper, and I enjoyed watching the trooper getting trapped by his own words. I would highly recommend James Minick to handle your DWI case.

James Minick was personal, professional, and knowledgeable throughout the time a family member and I worked with him. Being charged with a DUI was a very disruptive event in our lives, but I actually looked forward to our meetings with James. He was encouraging, nonjudgmental, and he always gave an honest assessment of our chances in court. He responded promptly to our many questions for months after our case was officially resolved, and the cost of his services was extremely fair.

Mr. Minck did a fantastic job guiding me through the process of dealing with a DUI and associated charges. He achieved the best possible outcome for a difficult situation. He thoroughly understands DUI law. His knowledge of the Buncombe county system is great, and his rapport with the members of the court system is admirable. He is also concerned with the healing and recovery of those affected by alcoholism who wish to get better. If you are charged with DUI, this is the attorney you need to help minimize he damage.

I was falsely accused of DWI last July simply for failure to burn headlamps at night. I am 62 years old and this is the first time I have ever had an encounter with a law officer in which I had to perform field sobriety tests. This officer was aggressively seeking an arrest. After passing the Breath Test and, in my opinion, the field tests, I was STILL arrested and charged. I was devastated. James Minick was the only lawyer of the four I interviewed to confidently tell me we had a good chance of getting a not guilty verdict. To our surprise, we lost our District court case. Mr. Minick knew this was an injustice and encouraged me to appeal to Superior Court. It was long and grueling but we won my case in front of a Jury. NOT GUILTY!!! James Minick is an extremely talented lawyer. He knows DWI law. His expertise and ability to challenge unfairness in law enforcement is simply amazing! I would encourage anyone charged with DWI offense to call James Minick at Minick Law.

Mr. Minick had a plan for my case from the beginning of the consultation. He was very knowledgable about NC LAW. He used video and case president from other cases. The motion he presented in are case was well executed and a winning argument. The judge agreed with the motion, but sadly also with the DA? It was essentially a tie. We did loose the case on the double decision. However he fought for the lowest penalty. I ended up with a $100 fine and 24 community service on a DUI, my first. I feel even tho loosing I won. My girlfriends cousin is a lawyer in Kentucky, he's never heard of a $100 fine, enough said. Trust your legal matters to James Minick and he will earn that trust.
