    Dennis’s Answer

Yes, they have the right to sue you. Normally they will just turn over an amount like that to a collection agency. They cannot place a lien on your car, but they could obtain a judgment against you and then have the sheriff execute on the judgment, which could include seizing your property for sale to satisfy the judgment and costs. This is not likely. It would be better for you to start making small, good faith payments until your situation improves.

  • Will i get points to my insurance? and can i take traffic school?

I had gotten a ticket a few months ago for speeding but my lawyer said it was improper equipment. now i just recently got one that the officer reduced to 9mph. Will i get points to my insurance? or can i take traffic school and get it waived?

    Dennis’s Answer

If you have no other tickets in the last three years, then the 9-over will not give you insurance points. If you are given the option of traffic school, then you should take it and then it would be reduced to another equipment violation.
