There is no such crime as a misdemeanor burglary in N.C. Whether you can have any crime expunged from your record depends upon a number of factors. How old were you on the date of conviction? Did the prosecutor defer prosecution? Accurate information is needed to fully answer your question.

The District Attorney in New Hanover County does not negotiate on DWI cases. This sounds like a case that has issues that will need to be tried in front of a judge. The total costs will depend upon whether you are convicted and what your insurance company does and what treatment recommendation is made, but the court costs, assessment and fines should be slightly less than $1000 total.

It is more than likely the Hammond Road jail, but if you have a probation officer you should ask them. Otherwise, call the clerk of court.

You need to consult with a local attorney regarding this matter. Each judicial district deals with these matters differently. 83 in a 60 is a criminal offense and may revoke his license.
