William Harrison is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009.
William tailored his legal education and practical training to criminal law, and received his Juris Doctor from UNC School of Law in 2012.
While in law school, he participated in the North Carolina Driver’s License Restoration Project, which helps North Carolinians regain and keep their licenses. William interned for Patricia Timmons-Goodson, Associate Justice (retired) of the N.C. Supreme Court; two District Attorney’s offices; a criminal defense firm; and an education law firm. He was a staff writer for the First Amendment Law Review, and has conducted frequent, intense research into D.W.I. and motor vehicle law. As a student attorney for UNC Law School’s Juvenile Justice Clinic, William represented juvenile clients in Orange and Durham counties.
William is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, and is a member of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and Wake County Bar Association. In his spare time, William writes film and Blu-ray reviews for DVDTalk.com. He enjoys Tar Heel athletics, roller coasters and the North Carolina coast.
