I joined Edelstein & Payne in February, 2015. My practice includes personal injury, employee-side employment law, workers compensation, and wage claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act. I remain committed to social justice and continue to occassionally handle criminal defense matters of interest to me, including drug cases and defending protesters.
I am admitted to practice in all North Carolina state courts, Washington state courts, and the Western District of Washington Federal Court.
During my nine years of practicing law in Seattle, my practice focused on criminal defense trial work, though I also occasionally handled personal injury and consumer matters, including helping individuals who were the subject of false criminal history background checks in pre-employment screenings.

I've had the pleasure of working with Sean on a few criminal matters and happily endorse his work. Sean is a dedicated and diligent lawyer who will throw his all into each case. He fights hard and does an excellent job in both pretrial motions and in trial. He knows how to communicate difficult concepts and cases to a jury in a ways that are easily understood. I imagine that skill transfers well to his civil practice as well.
