Effective January 1, 2014, Edwin R. (Ed) Gatton relinquished his equity partner position and became Of Counsel with Ivey, McClellan, Gatton & Talcott, LLP. Ed focuses primarily in commercial law with an emphasis on litigation (both plaintiff and defense) in State and Federal courts. Ed began his legal career as in-house counsel for Pilot Life Insurance Company (later Jefferson-Pilot Financial) with an emphasis in defense litigation and corporate governance. Since joining Ivey, McClellan, Gatton & Talcott, LLP, Ed has managed and been lead counsel in several multimillion dollar cases, primarily in the United States Bankruptcy Court.
