About Me

James Faucher is a trial lawyer with a statewide practice, including all North Carolina State Courts, all Federal Courts located in North Carolina, and the North Carolina Business Court.  James has extensive experience handling a wide range of matters, including all types of business disputes and serious personal injury matters. At age 32, James was selected as a 2010 Rising Star by North Carolina Super Lawyers, a distinction limited to 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40 practicing in North Carolina.  James was named a Rising Star again in 2011 and 2012.  James regularly works as local counsel for out of state attorneys, and has litigated matters with attorneys located in New York, Illinois, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, and other states over the last several years.

  • Horse riding accidents

  • "Dram shop" actions against bars/restaurants that serve drunk drivers

  • Failure to provide adequate security and other premises liability claims (including slip and fall claim, trip and fall claims, dog owner negligence, security excessive force)

  • Claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act and North Carolina State Tort Claims Act

  • Third Party claims arising from Worker’s Compensation cases

  • Arbitration of uninsured/underinsured motorist claims



James is a 2000 graduate of Wake Forest University and a 2003 graduate, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was a member of the Washington Lee Law Review.  James was born in Hartford, Connecticut and grew up in Connecticut and Indiana.  James and his wife Emily are the proud parents of three young daughters. When not practicing law or spending time with his family, James enjoys running, playing softball, and is an avid fan of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Boston Red Sox.
