Over the last few years, I've focused my area of practice on Social Security Disability. I am passionate about representing the rights of the physically and mentally disabled. As a
representative before the Social Security Administration, I help my clients fight the bureaucracy to receive the disability
benefits that they are entitled to, especially when they have been
denied those benefits in the past.
I'm a native of North Carolina. I was born here, grew up here and went to school and graduated magna cum laude from
the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2003 with a bachelor's
degree with honors in Philosophy and Religion.
In 2006, I earned my juris
doctorate with honors in 2006 from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill School of Law, and in the same year I was admitted to the
North Carolina State Bar.
In 2008, I was elected by my colleagues in the Disability Advocacy Section
of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice as co-chairman
of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee.
