********MUST READ **********
I was recently charged with a DUI back in May,I chose an attorney to represent me in court as my case didn't look so promising. My attorney turned out to be my prosecutor and judge for 8 months I was completely stress worried and afraid as to what the outcome would be.On my 5th court appearance I was told that I would have no choice but to make jail time pay fines take class's suspended license and interlock in my car.I was devastated my attorney convinced me that we will not take it to trail as the outcome would be even worse. Then with nothing to loose I decided to look for a second opinion and this is were I came across McGlone law firm.Just days before my court appearance Paul McGlone interviewed me and I chose him as my substitute attorney. This was the best decision I made in a long time when I call the office and David answers at the end of the conversation he would say "we are here for you" and they definitely were. The first day as Paul as my attorney in court we immediately took the case to trial, all evidence pointed to me being guilty but not in his eyes with 3 seconds of the recorded video from the police officer we won the case.Mr McGlone stunned the prosecutor the arresting officer and the judge the case was dismissed. Guys don't look anywhere else I was given a second chance in life thanks to the McGlone law firm. There is hope guys we all make mistake when we do Mr Paul McGlone is the guy you want at your side.

I was very impressed with Paul McGlone & Carly Jehlen and their assistants, David & Brenna. They looked at every detail of my case to form a strategy. Mr. McGlone and Ms. Jehlen are very experienced attorneys who know the prosecutors and judges. I expected a reduced fine but ended up having charges dropped. I'm very happy I hired them!

We hired Attorney Paul McGlone for a traffic charge from Virginia state police in early January, 2015. Paul was very professional and personable. He answered all our questions and concerns, and advised us of every steps of the court process and what to expect. He was always available for us. He developed an excellent strategy to defend our case. He skillfully engaged during the court hearing, resulting in a total dismissal of our case. We never anticipated such an outstanding outcome, and owe the outcome to Paul's professional abilities and experience. Several years ago, Paul represented our daughter in the traffic court and again the charge was dismissed. Paul is phenomenal. we highly recommend him.

Summary: I highly recommend Mr. McGlone for DUI representation. His fees are roughly average for the field, but his experience, ability, and aggressiveness (in terms of reducing charges as much as possible) probably place him in the top 5% in terms of quality of representation. I'm inexperienced to the process, but that's my best assessment. Also, his office staff were always pleasant to deal with and did their jobs very well.
In more detail: I was picked up and charged with a DUI shortly before New Year's Eve in Fairfax. I blew a 0.15 back at the station, which was just enough to put me in the 2nd tier of BAC and facing a week in jail and numerous other penalties for a first time offense. I called Mr. McGlone to explain my situation and was impressed at how clearly he explained my options. I was also impressed that he was willing to meet with me on New Year's Day for a free consultation (I was leaving town the day after) while most other lawyers I called were unavailable/on vacation.
After I called him, Mr. McGlone's office sent me a long list of questions about the night I was charged to fill out before we met in person. This was important, as details can make all the difference in court and it's easy to forget them if you don't write everything down as soon as possible. Even though I only managed to send him my answers that morning, he'd read them by the time we met in the afternoon. I hired him immediately after that consultation, as my internet research and conversations with him and a few other attorneys had already led me to believe he would be my best option and I wanted him to start working on my case as soon as possible. I should point out here that lawyers are expensive, but not having a lawyer can be much more costly in the long run. If you can afford a private attorney like Mr. McGlone, you have the best chance possible to get charges reduced or dropped. If you cannot afford a private attorney, ask for free court-appointed representation (though the quality of representation will be lower). If you represent yourself, you will likely face the maximum possible penalties (particularly in Fairfax County) no matter how well you think you can argue. For something as serious as a DUI that could involve losing your license and going to jail, you should always have a lawyer.
Once I hired him, Mr. McGlone’s office handled all of my dealings with the court (including getting a different trial date, since I’d be out of town for the initial date) and mailed me all the information they gathered regarding my case. They subpoenaed everything they could, and eventually found that I had blown a slightly lower BAC on a portable breathalyzer right when I was stopped. This (and Mr. McGlone’s reputation for defending DUIs, which I believe the prosecutor took into account) was enough to get a plea offer of 0.14 BAC, a lower category of DUI that did not require jail. I should point out here that realistic expectations are important. I believe the case against me was very strong; a properly-conducted breath test resulting in 0.15 would normally be all that’s needed to convict regardless of how persuasive a lawyer is. If there had been any extenuating circumstances (like problems with the way the police conducted their test), I have no doubt that Mr. McGlone would have been able to get even greater reduction in charges or outright acquittal. But you never know what's going to turn up upon closer investigation, and as it is I'm just grateful to Mr. McGlone that I managed to get a reduced charge and avoid jail.

I was charged with DUI & Possession of marijuana at a DUI checkpoint in Fairfax County on Oct. 20, 2012. I make no excuses for driving under the influence, I did have a problem with the way I was treated as a heavily tattooed man from NC. I really felt profiled by the arresting officer whose name I won't mention. The prosecution let it be know that I was going to be made an example of. In my case, the magistrate did not even make me bond out which I imagine is rare for someone who lives out of state. I did a couple of weeks of research before I hired Mr. McGlone. It was certainly the best decision I possibly could have made. David & Paul are super professional & very knowledgable. Hopefully I we meet again it will be under better circumstances. It would be impossible to recommend Mr. McGlone highly enough. His knowledge and strategy was brilliant. He is very upfront, professional, & honest. My case went to trail 7 months later after the initial charge, & all I can say is as nervous as I was, he was amazing to watch in action. He made the prosecution look like this was the first time she had ever tried a case. I made a mistake & a bad decision that night in October. Long story short, the Fairfax Co. PD did as well. Turns out they're checkpoint wasn't exactly legal either. Case Dismissed. I can't say enough good things about Mr. McGlone. David who you will most likely speak to if you call the office, kept me sane, especially on the trial date- super professional & friendly. Hopefully you won't need an attorney but if you find yourself in that situation- Hire Paul McGlone. He will not disappoint. Also He won't send you to the poor house. Definitely worth every penny, I wish nothing but the best for those guys. Thank You so much Mr. McGlone.

You will not find a lawyer as dedicated, intelligent, trustworthy, and as hardworking as Mr. McGlone anywhere. He is obviously revered by his colleagues and for good reason, he is beyond just an elite lawyer, he is a master of the law. Mr. McGlone will be upfront and honest with you, he will work diligently to fight for you, and most of all he is always looking to do right by his clients. I couldn't recommend Mr. McGlone more highly than I do now, and although I imagine I will never need his services again, I would recommend him with all of my being to anyone who made need it. Thank you Mr. McGlone!
