Mike Sprano is the first fellow lawyer on Avvo.com I felt compelled to endorse, and I'm doing so without him asking me. Knowing what an excellent lawyer he is (over the last 12 years), I was a bit amused that his lawyer "rating" here wasn't higher. Without a doubt, he is a brilliant lawyer who knows the law, has the respect of the judges and prosecutors, shows his clients respect, and gets the best possible results- all while remaining quite humble. I regularly refer certain criminal cases to Mr. Sprano- he and his law partner/wife (Alene) are two of the top lawyers in NoVa for sex crimes and juvenile crimes. I would trust him to represent my own family member charged with anything from a minor misdemeanor up to felony murder. His "rating" on this website is amusing because it doesn't do justice to his skills and experience.
