Outcome: Liability Settlement - Hundreds now FLSA Nonexempt
Description: The US Department of Labor had wrongfully exempted hundreds of employees from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (which the DOL is charged with enforcing against Private sector employees). The Union filed a Grievance and the Parties resolved through settlement the Exemption status of hundreds of employees by switching them from Exempt to Nonexempt. Damages remedy is pending.
