I provide clients with personal and individualized legal service and advice in the areas of estate planning and administration, estate litigation, nonprofit and tax-exempt organization law, and business planning.
Specifically, I advise individuals with regard to their personal and business succession and tax planning, providing documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advance directives, and business-based documents such as charters, bylaws, employment agreements, buy-sell agreements, partnership agreements, etc.
In addition, I assist clients in setting up tax-exempt organizations and non-profits, and help organizations obtain tax-exempt status with the IRS. I also advise existing tax-exempt organizations on best-practices and compliance with federal and local laws.
With regard to estate administration and litigation, I represent fiduciaries in navigating the probate system and post-mortem estate planning, as well as preparing any necessary estate tax returns. I also represent individual beneficiaries of estates who may need separate counsel.
Specialties: Estate planning and administration; trust administration; tax-exempt organizations (corporate documents and tax work); business planning; estate litigation; taxation.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, biking, swimming, skiing, triathlons, reading for fun, and playing with my dog and kids.
