I had a charge of driving under suspended license dropped, with probation before judgement for the offence of entering the intersection with flashing red light without stop. Ended up with a reduced fee of 75 dollars and a very happy disposition. This lawyer is definitely worth his price. He does focus on you exactly when he needs to do his job, very good communicator and does his job well. I recommend.

Mr Silber very attentive to my needs. His staff was also very professional and willing help me through the process. My case was a bit of a difficult one and I'm not sure too many other lawyers would be willing to take it. Mr. Silber took it to trial and we won! I highly recommend his services.

I had come across his advertisement in the pile of mail my friend received for her DUI arrest. While she ended up picking another attorney, Mr. Silber was on her short list and had answered many of her questions well on the phone. Ultimately it came down to a matter of cost for her, as she had found an attorney that offered a flat rate for her DUI defense. He had offered me a different flat rate for my defense. Possession of paraphenalia in Maryland happens to be the smallest misdemeanor one can be charged with and still have to go to court for. However, because it is not a jailable offense, I could not be represented by a public defender. Moreover, I had been in the middle of a job search, and did not want any inconsistencies on my record which would show during a background check. I chose to spend the extra money for an attorney with an hourly rate so I could ensure that someone could really go to bat for me in the courtroom and get the best outcome possible.
My initial consultation with Mr. Silber was uneventful. He ran through the standard procedure that the State would go through to make my life miserable. He also went through what he would do to prep for my case. Satisfied, I paid his retainer and went back to work.
Things were quiet for the next few weeks. I typed up the events as they happened and e-mailed them to Mr. Silber. I was a bit apprehensive as I had not heard from him nor gotten confirmation of his getting my e-mail. I called his paralegal and was assured that everything was fine and I would get a phone call from Mr. Silber the night before my court appearance. Mr. Silber ended up calling around 10PM and told me I had nothing to worry about as he had a few approaches to my case and to meet him outside the courtroom the following morning.
I was barely on-time due to subway problems the following morning. Mr. Silber even called me to make sure I was on my way as I exited the subway station. He had been there for about 20 minutes and had sized up the District Attorney and the judge (who, in Mr. Silber's estimation, was one of the harder ones). Mr. Silber had also sized up the DA (she was a b***h who didn't like losing) and had identified people in her entourage who he had worked with in the past. This man was truly in his element. Over the course of the next few hours I watched the wheels of 'justice' turn. There were two shows going on – the main stuff that you normally see in courtroom dramas – and Mr. Silber working his way through the DA's staff. As the DA ground through other cases, Mr. Silber kept going outside the courtroom with various people from the DA's staff and coming back in to tell me how my case was progressing. We could have copped out early with an IPSA but he was swinging for the fences for a nolle prosequi. He was truly enjoying this. My case was such small potatoes to the state that the DA had actually brought in a law school student to prosecute me. Unfortunately for the law student I had brought a real lawyer. Ultimately, the law school student did not get her courtroom experience at my expense as Mr. Silber's constant onslaught on her staff made the DA opt for the nolle prosequi in the end. We strolled out of the court and worked out how I would pay him and expunge my record. In the end I ended up doing the expungement paperwork myself (easier than taxes).
I would definitely recommend Mr. Silber to anyone in a similar situation as he truly loves his job and he loves to win as well. While the rate might seem excessive, it is preferable to leaving court matters to chance. I got the best outcome possible because I was willing to retain a quality attorney to fight for me. I certainly could not have done it by myself.

A few months ago, (Oct 13, 2012) I received a DWI/DUI. I really felt as if my life was over. Working in the health profession, a citation could result in loss of my employment. Terrified about the possible outcome, I hired Mr. Silber upon a recommendation by a friend. It was honestly the best thing I ever did. From the time I hired and him until now, Mr. Silber has been in constant communication about the entire legal process. He was honest about the case and the potential negative outcome. He never gave me false hopes, but was confident in his ability to represent me in this case. He gave me the possible scenarios of how things would play out and gave me advice on how to handle certain things. There were days prior to the court date, where I would have anxiety attacks about the case. He would take time out in the evening to allay my fears. The actual court date was surreal. His cross-examination of the police officer that had given me the citation was simply brilliant. As a result, the judge acquitted all charges against me. I honestly didn’t think that I would get out of there without at least a PBJ, but thanks to Mr. Silber, I came out of that court room with all the stress lifted off my shoulders. I recommend Mr. Silber very highly. He saved not only my reputation and but also my career.

Being the first time needing an attorney for a criminal case I did some research in finding the best attorney. Lewis Silber was by far the best attorney to work with, as soon as I walked into the office everyone was welcoming and friendly. When explaining my case Mr.Silber listened to everything and told me what the next steps were going to be, I felt very comfortable know I was working with someone with as much knowledge as he had. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the MD area needing a good criminal attorney.

Mr. Silber is a solid attorney. He is very knowledgeable about the courts in Maryland, knows the judges, and has an ability to make everybody feel comfortable while advocating for clients. At the same time, he is very aggressive when needed and is also a masterful negotiator.

Had a traffic violation sought his representation got total satisfaction. He proved how innocent I was and how this was a police miscommunication. I found him very understanding and Outstanding. Was always kept informed. He does his job Best. With this hard economic times was worried how to pay him. He asked me to make a payment plan that suited my budget. If I may ask who does that? I highly recommend him. I will always hire him should I need legal services

Mr. Silber handled a Personal Injury case for me and was exceptional. The other party's insurance company originally presented us with a horrible settlement offer, but Mr. Sibler was relentless. The final offer came out to more than 75% more than the insurance’s original offer. Mr. Sibler managed to keep me informed through out the whole process. Mr. Sibler has mastered the art of negotiation. I would strongly recommend Mr. Sibler to my friends and family for all their attorney needs.

Mr. Silber is a highly skilled trial lawyer. He is exceptionally knowledgable and experienced. I was charged with 8 different citations following a single car accident. During the trial, he worked his magic and made it clear to the prosecution that their case was baseless. He picked apart the state witnesses which included 4 police officers. At the end, the state dropped all charges due to insufficient evidence. I honestly don't believe any other lawyer would have been to help me the way Lewis did.
I met a few other lawyers before hiring Lewis. After my initial consultation, I knew he was the one. He thinks outside of the box and fights to the very end for his clients. I highly recommend him without hesitation.

I was totally amazed when I saw my friend J*****y sitting in his front yard one day three years ago, I said J*****y wasn't your trial today, he said yeah, that's when I asked him how in the world did you get off then, because I know some of my friends in the past with fewer charges have done time in prison and that,s when he said well they must have had bad lawyers, I asked who in the world did you have that got you off of two duis and two driving while suspended, Lewis Silber. About a year went by when my son was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and that's when I first met Lewis Silber, I explained to him that my son was on probation and was facing at least 3 more years if convicted, our meeting was brief but Lewis was right to the point, he said you let me know all about your son and I will get everything else from the courts, I was devestated I just knew my son was going back to jail. I did everything Lewis told me to do, for the next week Lewis called me almost everyday giving me updates and prying all these little bits of information from me that I didn't think was important. Now comes the day of the trial, it was unbelivable what I thought was a iron clad case they had against my son Mr Silber got inside the police and proscutors heads so bad that they dropped all of the charges before they ever brought my son into the courtroom. Three months later my other son got a DUI which was his second DUI and of course I hired Mr Silber again. I already knew the drill and started prepping info for Mr Silber. The states attorney wanted to give him a year but the day of the trial Mr Lewis Silber worked his magic again and my son left the courtroom with me. Both of these trials were in the years 2009 and 2010. The week before Christmas my youngest daughter got into a little trouble and lost custody of her children and had a protection order put against her from her backstabbing idiot hopefully so to be exhusband, they live down near point lookout almost 100 miles from Mr Silbers office, I told my daughter I had a attorney I would like for her to use and although she was against using a out of town attorney she finally agreed and boy was she ever thankful she did , with just three days to prepare Mr Silber Had the protection order lifted and within a week my daughter was reunited with her three children.
I highly recommend Mr Lewis Silber, he is extremely knowledgeable of the laws and his preparation even in the shortest of time is unbelievable, In all of the attornies I have used and seen in my 60 years of existance Mr Silber is by far heads over heels better of a attorney than ever have I seen. I am at a loss for words to show or say how much my entire family and my friend J*****y thank this fine young man for all he has done for us. God bless you Mr Silber

After seven years involved in a custody case with my twin daughters of which I have joint physical and legal custody, a long standing custody agreement that had not been followed, and a modification case presented to me and won, I filed for bankruptcy due to the extensive legal maneuverings and fees associated. As I was once again served with a modification where my former wife was asking for sole physical and legal custody in 2010 and failure of so-called "father's rights" attorneys, I was referred to Lew Silber. Lewis Silber not only won a contempt filing against my former wife but also had her motion denied and maintained my legal custody. His passion, professionalism, preparedness, and ability to adjust and react in a trial setting was something to behold.
Due to his late entrance in the case, Lew was unable to present any witnesses. Using only the Defendants witnesses, Lew had each of our arguments supported and successfully presented our case. Though Lew focuses mainly on criminal law, his participation in this case and as a result of his expertise and talents, my daughters are guaranteed tohave their father in their lives for a long time to come. Lew Silber is a hero in our family and without a doubt, the finest attorney I have ever come in contact with.

I was fortunate enough to be referred to Lewis through friends who had used his services. He was not only prompt in meeting with me, but completely thorough in providing me all information regarding his approach and exactly what he needed from me. He actually went out of his way to meet with my at my place of business to expedite all paper work and provide me with all information I needed as well. My case went unbelievably smooth with a positive outcome. I would recommend him to anyone... and I do!

Lewis Silber made claims to be able to handle my case, and gain my trust. He accepted one thousand dollars from my mother to retain his services and all he did was request a continuance. He never returned my calls, or kept me up to date with developments. Perhaps he saw me as an easy victim as I was a victim of an assault while pregnant. Needless to say, I have had my trust violated and I am out one thousand dollars, and it's also caused heart issues with my mother as she put up funds for me.

I was in an accident and Mr. Silber took over all aspects of this. I gave him all of the information and paperwork and he he got me money for things I would never have even thought to ask about. Every time I called his office I either spoke directly to him or his assistant no matter what time of day or night. He always took the time to answer all of my questions. I will definitely call him if I ever need an attorney again and refer anyone I know who needs an attorney.
