Greg's comment: I was suspended for 6 months after making a misleading representation to a court in an effort to protect my client from prosecution for filing a false subpoena. Within 30 minutes of becoming aware... more I was suspended for 6 months after making a misleading representation to a court in an effort to protect my client from prosecution for filing a false subpoena. Within 30 minutes of becoming aware of the subpoena, I withdrew it. There were no negative consequences to the opposing party in my client's litigation. There was disagreement among the DC Bar Grievance panel as to whether a suspension for such a lengthy period was appropriate under these circumstances. less
