I am a partner in Miller, Miller & Canby's Litigation practice, and a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County. In my more than two decades of practice, I have tried hundreds of lawsuits throughout the State of Maryland and in the District of Columbia -- approximately 100 of which were jury trials. My trial practice is diverse and extensive.
Earlier in my career, I concentrated my practice in personal injury matters and continue to represent both plaintiffs and defendants in such cases. More recently, I have played leading roles in complex business matters for large corporate clients and in other areas such as insurance related litigation, trust litigation as well as zoning and land use matters. Many of these cases involved difficult and novel issues that my extensive courtroom experience enabled me to navigate with success.
In addition to my background as a trial lawyer, I am teh current co-chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Judicial Selections Committee, a member of the Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure, am a Bencher and Member of the Executive Committee of the Montgomery County Inn of Court, and regularly volunteer as a mediator for the District Court. I was also recently appointed to the Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission.
I am AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was named a 2014 and 2015 Super Lawyer for Maryland and the District of Columbia.
