About Me

Mr. Colravy grew up in Piper City, Illinois
and Tampa, Florida. He has lived in the Washington, DC metropolitan
area since 1999. Mr. Colravy received his undergraduate education at
the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Mr. Colravy attended law school at the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, DC. He graduated from law school with cum laude honors and was selected as the “Outstanding Graduate” by the law school
faculty. He represented his first clients while still a student
attorney in the criminal justice clinic and the human rights impact litigation clinic, and won his first jury
trial before graduating law school. He was also the research assistant
to Prof. Michael E. Tigar,
former chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation.
He worked with Prof. Tigar to plan a 10-day training program for Texas
attorneys defending clients facing the death penalty.

Following law school he was selected to be a law clerk
for a judge in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.
Following his judicial clerkship, he became a trial lawyer in the
Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Montgomery County, where he
aggressively represented thousands of clients. As a public defender, he
received excellent professional training and gained extensive trial
experience. Mr. Colravy has successfully tried hundreds of cases at
both the District Court and Circuit Court levels.

After years of service in the public defender’s office,
Mr. Colravy entered into private practice at a small Rockville law
firm, where he continued to practice criminal defense, in addition to
civil litigation (including personal injury, divorce, child custody,
and general civil matters).

Mr. Colravy is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association; the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland; the District of Columbia Bar; and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Association.

I had the opportunity to work with Caeb several years ago when we were both students in our law school's criminal defense clinic. I can attest that he has been achieving excellent results for his clients since his first days as a lawyer. He is an extremely bright, capable and effective advocate, as well as an assuring and comforting presence in any difficult situation. I highly recommend Caeb.
