About Me

Although I spent the majoroity of my career in Memphis, I am actually a native of Nutley, New Jersey.  A graduate of Davidson College, I was an avid participant on the track/cross country teams (team captain for 2 years and scholar/athlete award winner) and a member of the Delta Chapter of Kappa Sigma.  Spent my year before law school as a paralegal at a large NY law firm before going to Cumberland for my JD, where I was Articles Editor of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and a Semi-Finalist in the 1993 National Moot Court Competition at Duke University.

I've served as in-house counsel for broker/dealers, investment advisers and hedge funds.  This experience gives me the ability to view things from a business/risk point of view.  My clients include all sorts of participants in the capital markets -- brokers, advisers, funds, investors, family offices, institutions etc., both on the securities and commodities side.

Arbitration of securities disputes and hedge fund related work take up most of my time at present.  I am a chairperson trained arbitrator for the National Futures Association, FINRA and the London Court of International Arbitration.

I am thrilled to be a part of the growth of Dilworth Paxson in Washington.  As part of an established Philadelphia law firm, I have over 100 skilled colleagues to call upon for the toughest of challenges.
