I have been a lawyer since 1994 and have a private practice in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Most of my work involves representing people charged with a crime.
My legal career began at Dilworth Paxson, LLP, a large law firm in Philadelphia, where I was an Associate from 1994 to 1996.
In 1996, I joined the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, serving as an Assistant District Attorney. I was promoted to the Major Crimes Unit, prosecuting crimes such as homicide, robbery, assaults and DUIs.
In 1999, I established my own private practice in Norristown, Pennsylvania. My experience as an Assistant District Attorney has been especially useful in defending my clients against a broad range of misdemeanor and felony crimes both at the state and federal level. As a former prosecutor, and current defense attorney, I have handled cases ranging from capital (death penalty) homicide cases to traffic offenses. Many of my cases have involved DUI charges (the reality is that in suburban areas, such as Montgomery County, DUI is the most commonly-charged crime by the police).
I have also served in different capacities which has broadened my experience and enhanced my ability to serve my clients. From 2008 to 2012, I served as a part-time Assistant Solicitor for Montgomery County representing Montgomery County Emergency Services in hearings under the Mental Health Procedures Act. This experience has helped me gain a strong understanding of the law regarding mental health law and the options that are available to those suffering from mental illnesses.
I presently serve as Chairman of the Montgomery County Drug and Alcohol Planning Council. I have served as a member of the Council since 2003 and have been Chairman since 2005. I work with the leaders and members of the Montgomery County Department of Behavioral Health/ Drug and Alcohol along with respected members of the community who serve on the Council. This experience has helped me fully understand the rights and options available to those who suffer from substance abuse issues.
With my experiences as a lawyer, I am qualified to represent anyone charged with a crime. If I decide to accept a case, I fight zealously for my client to achieve the best possible result.
