I wouldhire a tax attorney or CTRS who only does tax resolution work. this is not an accounting issue. You need someone to keep you from being held responsible for the taxes in both cases state and federal. First make sure your name is off any bank account signature cards. Second challenge any allegation that you were an officer, director or responsible party of the company. Call the Secretary of State corporate office and make sure you are not listed as such if you were not as you...

Ever charged cwith DUI before is the big issue. Ask the District Attorney for ARD. The edangering a minor could be a problem b/c that is a separate offence. Ask them to drop that charge as you are in AA and have the PFA and the rest of the facts you laid out abt the father. Your blood alcohol was VERY high, in fact dangerous. I suspect you have been drinking a long time and your liver is not functioning as usual so it puts the alcohol, unfiltered, right into your blood, hence the...

You can file two or three IRS forms to seek relief from this "taking" but the forms should be filed ASAP. There are dates you loose your right to obtain relief. One: File Form 911 asking the tax advocate to help you obtain your money back requesting both Injured Spouse Relief-- if you had income and Innocent Spuse relief if you did not have income in the returns at issue and are now liabable for your husbands taxes b/c he signed the return for you or he asked you to sign under the premise he...

After the court appointed you Administrator you must go to the Sherriff's office and have the tax sale postponed. Show them you have listed the house for sale and upon the sale the back taxers will be paid in full. alternatively if they say "no" ask for a payment plan for the real estate taxes. That should work. I would get help if I were you.

I agree with the other answering attorneys. But we must know who the giver is and the relationship. So, I'm leery to give a definite NO to the taxable issue without more information. I think you need to go over this with an tax attorney or CPA right away. The internet scam issue is a huge concern I applaud Christine for raising the issue. Do not give out your bank information to anyone. I would open a special account if they claim to require it or just plain RUN for the hills. If it...
