Christopher M. Casazza, Esquire is a native of Michigan and obtained a B.S. in History, with a focus in African History, from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He received his Juris Doctrate from Villanova University School of Law in May 2010. While attending Villanova Law, Christopher worked as an extern with the Honorable George A. Pagano in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Delaware County, Civil Division and was a clerk for the Honorable Rayford A. Means in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County, Criminal Division. In the Summer of 2008 he studied Comparative Asylum Law in Rome, Italy where became familiar with European Union Asylum Law and Theory and visited African refugee centers in and around Rome. In his last year at Villanova Law, Christopher worked as a research assistant to Professor Michele Pistone, working exclusively in the Asylum Law field. He also participated in the Villanova Clinic for Asylum, Refugee, and Emigrant Services, where he successfully represented West-African refugees. Christopher is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of PA. He joined the Law Offices of David E. Piver in October 2009.
Christopher’s practice with the Law Offices of David E. Piver includes all aspects of removal/deportation defense, asylum law, and family based immigration. He represents foreign nationals and their family members in asylum applications, removal proceedings before the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, and in federal court litigation. Christopher also works in obtaining a variety of immigrant and non-immigrant waivers of grounds of inadmissibility and removability.
Christopher is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
