About Me

Pennsylvania lawyer Patrick "PJ" Best has represented disabled individuals across Pennsylvania who were wrongfully denied Social Security Disability benefits and Supplemental Security Income. Through his work with the University of Pittsburgh Civil Practice Clinic, Attorney Best began his career representing disabled individuals who could not afford to hire an attorney. His experience representing disabled individuals before Administrative Law Judges across the Commonwealth is an essential element in obtaining positive results for his clients.

In addition, Attorney Best is also an experienced Pennsylvania family law attorney. Attorney Best began working in family law while volunteering with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Aid Society, where he represented indigent clients in family law matters. Most often, he would assist clients in custody disputes when they could not afford a private attorney. After transitioning from his volunteer position into private practice, his experiences with Legal Aid have given him a deep level of understanding of the sensitive nature of family law. This understanding manifests itself through his commitment to client service. Attorney Best has extensive experience in all aspects of Family Law: Divorce, Custody, Spousal Support, Alimony, Child Support, and Protection from Abuse Actions.

At present, Attorney Best handles a wide variety of cases including, but not limited to, Social Security Disability, family law, landlord-tenant, criminal defense, bankruptcy, workers' compensation, and personal injury.

Attorney Best is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was born and raised in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. After graduating from law school he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Carmen D. Minora of the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas.
