Description:Client originally charged with first degree felony attempted homicide and first degree felony aggravated assault for allegedly strangling female victim into unconsciousness. After preliminary hearing cross examination, investigation of alleged victim's preexisting medical conditions, and pre-trial arguments to the district prosecutor while approaching trial, the Commonwealth dismissed the attempted homicide charge and reduced the aggravated assault charge to a single count of second degree misdemeanor simple assault. Client pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three months house arrest and probation.
