Eric Gibson is a native of Ellicott City, Maryland. Eric attended Mount Saint Joseph High School where he played baseball. Eric is an avid fan of the Orioles and Ravens. Eric attended Gettysburg College as a Presidential Scholar. After graduating Eric interned with the Empowerment Project in North Carolina before attending Law School. Eric attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he was a Dean’s Scholar. Eric met his wife, BGKS partner, Anne Gibson, in Law School. Eric and Anne moved to Anne's hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania where the couples married and are currently living and raising their daughter.
Eric began his legal career as a Public Defender in Berks County representing individuals who could not otherwise afford an attorney. Eric throughout his life has always had a commitment to public service and continues that commitment through his pro bono work. As both an appellate and trial attorney with the Public Defender’s office Eric has years of invaluable courtroom and writing experience. Now practicing with Bentley, Gibson, Kopecki, Smith, P.C., Eric draws upon his extensive background and experience, to practice criminal and family law with a unique personalized approach to client representation.
