Atty Carr handled a personal bankruptcy case for me. He was recommended by my personal attorney. He seems well versed, but my case was relatively simple. Seeing as I am now being hassled by an item that was supposed to be part of the bankruptcy, I plan to check records closely to see if the "mistake" is Carr's fault or Met-Eds. What I find objectionable about Carr is his arrogant attitude. He met with me and my wife. Having been aSr. VP at Lehman I'm used to dealing with many people. I noticed Carr spoke primarily spoke and looked to my wife and acted like I didn't exist.
I received a legal document with a stamped seal regarding a mortgage company and their legal team from Philly,. The document was stamped by the prothonotary in York County. I was concerned and called Carr. He returned the call promptly, BUT his ATTITUDE WAS ARROGANT AND CONDESCENDING. I am not an attorney. My question was simple and required a simple response. Instead Mr. Carr acted like I was an Idiot....should I say retarded? I strongly object to this attitude and was very much repulsed and offended by Carr. He could have easily answered my question, politely and professionally. His behavior was poor.
Like I mentioned previously, I am a former Sr. VP at Lehman. I dealt with a ton of investors. I NEVER treated anyone the way Carr treated me. No question anyone asked me was treated as though the individual was an idiot. I emphasized; "If you don't understand something, ask...say so...no question is unimportant, especially if you don't understand.
I have been on long term disability and my wife has cancer. I'm under a lot of stress. Carr's behavior was something I didn't expect and certainly something I could do without.
Before my disability I earned well into the low-mid 6 figures. Since the discovery of a tumor (2001) in my hip I am no longer allowed to run. I am pretty beat up from football in college and a brief stint in the NFL. Because of my health and restrictions I have gained about 50 lbs. Perhaps Carr didn't like my appearance as I no longer wear expensive suits and wear t-shirts and shorts. Regardless, Carr treated me as if I was some lower form of life.
Based on my athletic success and the fact that I was MODEL in college, I find Carr to be someone I would never do business again. He definitely has an attitude problem.

Have dealt with Steve Carr on several occasions, in two of his specialties. He and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. In my profession, I have occasion to deal with attorneys often, and based on my professional experiences with him, I've chosen him as my personal attorney. I trust him implicitly.
