About Me

Born in Gettysburg, PA in 1950, Cynthia C. Berger graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in 1972 and obtained a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1975. She is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts and in any Social Security Court throughout the United States, as well as in the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Berger began her legal career as a staff attorney working for the Judges at the Pittsburgh Social Security Office of Hearings and Appeals. She left the Office of Hearing and Appeals to become a founding member of Berger and Green, representing disabled people throughout Western PA and surrounding areas in claims for Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

Ms. Berger has evaluated over 50,000 Social Security Disability claims from the tri-state area during the course of her career. Due to her experience with Social Security Disability cases, she has been invited to lecture on a variety of subjects concerning Social Security Disability at conventions of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), the Federal Bar Association (FBA), the National Business Institute (NBI), and the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA). She is the Chairperson of the ACBA Social Security Practitioners Committee and a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and she also serves on the Board of Directors for NOSSCR. In addition, Ms. Berger is a member of many professional associations, including NOSSCR, the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PaAJ) and the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (WPTLA).

Having established a reputation representing disabled people for more than 30 years, Cynthia Berger is a Pennsylvania Social Security Disability lawyer who other attorneys call for advice. Clients appreciate Ms. Berger's compassion, preparation, attention to detail, and concern for their cases.
