Gary Short provided outstanding legal advice and guidance during my bankruptcy. He came highly recommended to me by my primary attorney who was helping me with past due taxes and was considering Ch 7 for us.
Unfortunately I could no longer work within the IRS repayment plan once I realized that I was accruing more than $10K in penalty & interest annually and bankruptcy seemed the only alternative.
Gary was a true blessing to my situation. He immediately squelched the Ch 7 plans because I made too much income and would have been denied with no other options to consider.
I knew he was the right attorney for me when he called me early on a Sunday morning and said: "I've been laying in bed trying to think of a strategy for you and I think I have it..." And his strategy worked very well for my situation considering the IRS was involved. I am extremely grateful for Gary's expertise and guidance. Our plan was very fair for all parties as I did not want to just walk away from my debt but wanted a fair and reasonable plan to repay and cease the overwhelming IRS penalty & interest charges.
Do not use this lawyer for any bankruptcy matter involving tax issues. He is simply ignorant of the law. He failed to properly represent us in bankruptcy because he simply does not know the law. We now know this because of our present lawyer. Mr. Short failed to bring issues to the court, acted on our behalf to our detriment, acted on our behalf without authorization. He failed to bring issues to the court that we requested. Took exorbitant fees without authorization. His actions have cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars, aggravation and anger. We are immensely worse off today then we were when hired him. Do Not Use This Lawyer!
