I've known Chris as a colleague for years. I've always known him to be a hard-working, exceptional attorney. When my husband was in a car accident, there was no one that I trusted more than Chris to help us. He got results that exceeded our expectations. Chris and his office were the best. They always answered our calls, were courteous and compassionate. I highly recommend Chris.
After months of them doing hard work and answering our questions and being available, Chris got the result that we deserved. We first went to Chris after another lawyer told us we had no case. Chris told us that our case would be difficult but that he believed it was worth pursuing. I always felt like my questions were answered and nothing was shady like those car chasers you see on TV. The staff, Mary, Judy and Patrice were all awesome. I always felt like I was dealing with a reputable place. At the end, they all feel like family. The new lawyer at Chris' place, John Ford, also really cares about what he does and is a passionate fighter.
I was injured in a car accident in 2013. I found Chris by going online. It was the best 2 hours I ever spent on a computer. From my first meeting with Chris until he handed me my lawsuit award he was always honest, kind, straightforward, poised, prompt, and professional. He was also unrelenting in dealing with insurance companies and their lawyers. He's a pitbull. He will not give up, he will fight for you harder than you will fight for yourself. Chris will always tell you the truth, even if it is something you do not want to hear. Honesty and straight talk, three words I thought I would never use to describe a lawyer. If you get hurt in an accident and you don't hire Chris O'Brien to represent you be prepared for a long, angry ride with an attorney of lesser ability and passion.

Following a car accident in which I was deemed guilty of reckless driving I met with Mr O'Brien who from the moment I walked into the office took my case on spec and made me feel that he believed in me. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Chris and his assistant Patrice and the rest of the staff who gave of themselves whole heartedly. And we won.

Chris is a great lawyer! Also a very patient one. I had 2 personal injury cases where the accidents both occurred within 1 year of each other which dragged the process way out. Through all that he never sugar coated anything. He gave it to me straight and told me exactly what to expect. He made sure to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend him. The end result was even better than I expected or planned. Thanks again Chris.

In August of 2011, I was in a head on collision with a drunken driver. At which time, I received multiple injuries to my body. As the TV bombards you with advertisements for personal injury lawyers, I did not know what avenue to take. I consulted my personal lawyer and he suggested I contact a Chris O'Brien, who he felt was one of the top personal injury lawyers in Buffalo. Since my association with my lawyer has been over thirty years I trusted him that he was sending me to a competent person. Mr. O'Brien became not only my personal injury lawyer, he became a FRIEND. His interest and compassion and concern went above and beyond what I expected. He fought diligently to get the maximum restitution I was entitled to. He was open at any time of the day or night to receive my call and get back to me one way or the other.
I've recommended Mr. O'Brien to other people who have been involved in accidents and they were very well pleased. I would advocate him to anyone and everyone in need of a personal injury lawyer because he will treat and respect you as family not just a client.

He is very responsive and attentive, nice and respectful. He always had documentation about my case and he took the time to make sure I understood the documents. Mr. O'Brien handled my car case and the result was excellent. We went to arbitration instead of having court and he got me the highest possible result.
I recommend him to anyone who has a car crash and needs a lawyer.

For nearly a month I had no idea what I was suppose to do after being immobile from a car accident. After calling Mr. O'Brien ,I was happy he offered to come to my home to view my injury, since I could not walk. Chris and his firm made me feel that no question was unanswerable. The Law firm worked with me to get the best answers and settlement that Chris felt I deserved.I am now on my way to getting back on my feet and continue to strive for a better life. He fought for my rights and won a wonderful settlement that took me out of the debt I accumulated. He gets a 10 star rating!

I was referred to the Obrien firm and was a little nervous but Chris and the rest of his staff made me feel very comfortable , and guided me through every step. I was always informed and received updates often. The legal aspect can be so scarey and confusing and I am glad that i had great representation with Chris O'Brien and his law firm. I will recommend the Obrien to everyone!

I was referred to Chris by an attorney my cousin works for all the way in Philadelphia. I was told there was no attorney better than him. Admittedly I was very skeptical as I assumed all attorneys were cut from the same cloth. I was so wrong with my assumption. Chris took my case after nine months of frustration trying to deal with my accident and subsequent injury which was so bad my doctors weren't even sure how I was managing to get out of bed. I needed surgery and the defense's claims adjuster was denying my coverage. I was relying on friends because I was incapable of getting around without an immediate surgery on my back to allow me mobility. He had his hands full, but he assured me he would help me.
From the moment I met him I knew he was someone I could trust. Unlike other attorneys I spoke to he took a personal interest in my case. He didn't have one of many young and inexperienced attorneys handle my case. Chris handled my case personally as I learned he did with every client. He was always honest with me, kept in constant contact in order to keep me in the loop, and made sure I got my needs taken care of. Not only had he helped me get the care I needed for my physical well-being but also provided immense amounts of emotional and mental support, even if it meant taking a call from me at 10:30pm when he had depositions first thing the next morning. He didn't treat me like a client. He treated me like family. He fought viciously for me to get what I needed and deserved.
The defense was a nightmare. They had admitted fault, and they had more than enough means of taking care of my case. But they did everything they could do to make my life a living hell to try and get me to drop my case. If it weren't for Chris I would have cracked and I would have been broke and incapable of taking care of myself. After 2.5 years we finally settled out the case for twice the expected value of my case.
Let me repeat that; twice the expected value of my case.
He took care of me for almost two years and all he asked in return was that I trust him and hang in there. I did just that and in the end he came through on everything he promised. On the day we met, after getting to know each other and explaining the case, he made me a promise. He said, "you're a good guy who got screwed. When I take this case I am not just going to make sure 25-year old you is taken care of, because in another 25 years you might need help again. I promise to look after the 25-year old you and also the 50-year old you." He delivered on that promise. Thanks to Chris, as long as I am responsible, I won't ever have to worry about my future self when it comes time to get the surgeries and subsequent care I will need.
THERE IS NO BETTER INJURY ATTORNEY THAN CHRIS, AND THERE ARE HARDLY ANY HUMANS AS GENUINELY WONDERFUL AS HIM.
He is honest, compassionate, attentive, ethical, moral, hard-working, perseverant, intelligent, kind, understanding, strong, supportive, and so much more. There is a reason why he is recommended by his peers, feared by the defense that goes up against him, and respected by all. And his ethics transcend his job as an attorney. He actively helps out the WNY community. When the Southtowns were hit with 10 feet of snow in December he and the employees of his firm drove down there and volunteered to shovel. He didn't ask to be recognized. He only asked that others join him so that together they could ensure the safety of all those affected. This is the kind of man you want on your side. You don't come across people like Chris often in life. I won't tell you to trust me alone. Trust his results. Trust the testimonials of his clients and peers. But most of all, trust Chris.
