Attorney Robert Peragine is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Cortland in 2003 and his law degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in 2006. He graduated law school 5th in his class and was on the Dean’s List.
Attorney Peragine is a trial attorney known as respectful yet aggressive litigator who fights for those injured as the result of someone else’s negligence. He began his career as a trial attorney with the State of Connecticut as a prosecutor. As a prosecutor Mr. Peragine honed his skills in the court room where he tried numerous cases to verdict.
Following his time at the prosecutor’s office Mr. Peragine gained valuable plaintiffs experience while working at two large personal injury law firms. He aggressively represented his clients in pre-trial negotiations and if he did not receive the maximum offer for his client he would try the case to a verdict.
Attorney Peragine has many years of trial experience which will benefit each and every one of his Cellino & Barnes clients. His aggressive and zealous representation will help you receive the maximum amount on your case. If you are injured and need someone to fight hard for your rights Attorney Peragine is the lawyer you want on your side. He will not back down to the tactics used by the insurance companies or their defense attorneys. If he cannot get a fair and reasonable settlement offer through negotiations he will bring the case to trial as he has done many times before. Attorney Peragine understands that it is important to have a lawyer that is capable of bringing a case to verdict. The insurance companies know which lawyers will try cases and which lawyers will fold on the eve of trial. This can drastically help in getting the maximum value for your case.
In 2012 Attorney Peragine obtained the 25th highest verdict in Connecticut for his client who received injuries from a motor vehicle accident. The insurance company’s last offer was $10,000. After aggressively working up and presenting his case, the jury returned a verdict for $408,000.00.
For the last several years Attorney Robert J. Peragine has been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars lists, featuring outstanding young lawyers. Additionally, Attorney Peragine, was invited to be a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40. In his free time Mr. Peragine enjoys playing ice hockey. He played collegiate hockey as a goaltender and continues to play on local men’s teams. Music is also a big part of his life. He has played guitar for several years and enjoys going to Dave Matthews Concerts during the summer with his family and friends. I have been a colleague of Attorney Rob Peragine for almost 2 years and heartily endorse him without any hesitation. Rob is intelligent, hard working, agressive and always has his clients best interests in mind. His ability to balance multiple priorities and hone his focus on the most important issues is impressive. Rob is a credit to the legal profession and the attorneys and law firm associated with him are the better for it.
