The Law office of Matthew K. Tannenbaum is a general practice concentrating in Real Estate Transactions, Lender Representation, Criminal/Traffic Matters, Landlord/Tenant, Probate and Estate Planning.
In the area of Real Estate Transactions I represent both Buyers and Sellers of Residential and Commercial Properties, Lending Institutions and Title Companies, including investors looking to leverage their investments due to market conditions. I also handle the Purchase or Sale of businesses, Short Sale Payoff transactions, Commercial leasing, and the purchase of bank owned properties or "REO's". My office also handles Real Estate/Title litigation, loan workouts, and foreclosure defense matters.
As an ancillary to my real estate practice I often find myself reprsenting parties in both the surrogates and Landlord Tenant Courts. We often represent Sellers who need to sell a property due to a death in the family. This allows a cost savings to the client who now does not have to retain seperate counsel to handle the Surrogates Court proceedings. I the area of Landlord Tenant Court I represent residential landlords in non payments and holdover proceedings as well as Commercial Landlords AND tenants.
I am also active in the local criminal courts reprsenting defendants cahraged with misdemeanors and traffic infractions. My relationships and experince inthese courts allow me to obtain a favorable disposition of these cases.
My goal is to provide an high level of service to clients at an affordable price in a congienial atmosphere. I am able to do this by utilizing the latest technology so that I am able to connect with clients and their files whether I am in court, on the road, at a closing or at home.
My Garden City office is located near Roosevelt Field Mall right off the Meadowbrook Parkway and offers plenty of free parking.
