As a former Court Attorney for the Appellate Division Second Department, I worked on over 100 criminal and civil appeals, writing confidential memoranda for the Honorable Justices of the Court. I was Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York working as a trial attorney for the Administration for Children's Services, prosecuting neglect and abuse cases. Since then, I have been in private practice specializing in Criminal & Civil Litigation and Appeals.
In private practice, I have handled complex criminal and civil matters and obtained favorable results considering each client's unique situation.
I firmly believe my life experience makes me uniquely qualified to handle difficult cases and have honed my public speaking experience and courtroom personality.
At 18, I began a record label, Sonny Day Records, to manage my band, Spinning Images. I performed all day to day operations, copyrights, trademarks, promoting, booking, touring and had played over 1000 shows in legendary venues such as CBGB's, Mercury Lounge, Cutting Room, Joe's Pub, Irving Plaza and hundreds of colleges. We were eventually signed to an independent label, StarPolish Records, had our album "DNA" produced by Scrap 60 and our single "Maybe" reached #9 in the NY Local Charts. This resulted in a lot of press, radio airplay and distribution of our album in record stores and online channels such as ITunes and CD Baby.
I have also run a Property Management Company, RSJD Management, managing 19 condominium units on behalf of the owner. I handled the day to day operation of MIA Horse Stables, located at Aqueduct Horse Stable.
While I am an attorney, I have used my degree to excel in areas outside of law and believe these experiences make me uniquely qualified to zealously represent my clients.
I am passionate on the psychology of juries, and have a B.A. in Psychology from New York University.
Over the past decase, I have built a reputation of honesty and integrity, and it is those qualities that have allowed me the privilege of running for the Judge of the Civil and Supreme Courts of the Bronx the past three years.
