As a former Court Attorney for the Appellate Division Second Department, Robert Siano worked directly on over 100 civil and criminal appeals, writing confidential memoranda, including slip opinions, for the Honorable panel of Justices of the Court.
After gaining invaluable appellate experience, Robert Siano worked as Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York, prosecuting neglect cases on behalf of the Administration for Children’s Services, handling a large caseload representing children in the city of New York.
Since 2007, Robert Siano has been in private practice and has continued to represent clients in criminal and civil litigation and appeals. While focusing on criminal law, Mr. Siano also represented clients in civil matters, including torts, family law, guardianships, landlord/tenant matters and gained experience handling cases in the Federal Courts of the State of New York.
Robert Siano is a member of the Putnam County Criminal 18-B Panel, representing indigent defendants on behalf of the County and is a member of the Part 36 Panel in the Bronx. Additionally, Robert Siano is a member of the Appellate Division Second Department 18-B Panel representing appellants and children in Family Court Appeals.
Robert Siano has taught Business Law at Westchester Community College and has made other speaking engagements in the areas of criminal law, business law and intellectual property.
In 2013, Robert Siano was a judicial candidate for the Bronx County Supreme Court (12th Judicial District). In 2014, Robert Siano was a judicial candidate for the New York City Civil Court of Bronx County.
Robert Siano is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, Class of 2003. He attended undergraduate school at New York University.
Robert Siano is a member of the Diamond Thistle Lodge and is a 3rd Degree Freemason. He has written various legal articles for online forums such as American Express OPEN.
Robert Siano was born in the Bronx, where he has lived for the majority of his life. He was raised by two amazing parents, his Father, Roy D. Siano, was born in the Bronx and is the publisher of New York’s leading lottery news magazine, Lotto News and Lotto Stats. His Mother, Anabel Siano, was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and moved with her parents to the United States, where she became a citizen and worked for 37 years at Kings Harbor Multicare Center in the Bronx. He has one sibling, Dennis Siano, who is a web designer and engineer.
