Richard D. Willstatter is an experienced criminal defense lawyer who emphasizes his ability to prepare and research your defense more thoroughly than his adversaries will pursue the prosecution. His office is in White Plains, New York but he represents people in the surrounding area, including the City of New York and the federal courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York.

Richard D. Willstatter has been a criminal defense lawyer for 28 years. He represents individuals who are under investigation by the police and/or federal law enforcement officials and those accused of crimes. Mr. Willstatter also represents people who must appeal a criminal conviction or defend against a government appeal of a defense win in a trial-level court. From time to time, people also retain the Law Office of Green & Willstatter to defend them in a civil action. Mr. Willstatter's legal acumen and ability are his greatest strengths. Yet, his compassion and drive to protect his clients from the tentacles of government are attributes greatly appreciated by those who retain his services.

Mr. Willstatter serves as Vice-President of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers as well as its Amicus Curiae Chair. He also serves as Second Cicruit vice-chair of the Amicus Curiae Committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Co-Chair of the NACDL's Mental Health Committee.
