She started her career as an associate for a labor law firm which served as outside counsel on the management side to the City of Yonkers, Town of Newburgh and Village of Sleepy Hollow. Afterwards, she served as Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable Lorraine Miller in the New York State Supreme Court (Civil Term) in New York County as well as the New York State Supreme Court (Criminal Term) in Kings County. Then she resumed her municipal and land use work as in house Senior Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Yorktown (where she rendered legal opinions on all litigation and contract matters before the Town and in conjunction with the engineering, building and planning departments, resolved permit and environmental impact issues.). At that time she also simultaneously served as in house Counsel to the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Yorktown. She returned to private practice to represent lending institutions and financing companies in secured lending transactions as a former Senior Associate in the Corporate and Real Estate Departments of the White Plains office of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker, LLP. Thereafter based on her intellectual property background, she served as outside counsel and corporate generalist for the Legal Division of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation where she reported to the General Counsel and subsequently served as Counsel and Corporate Secretary to a medical book publishing company where she negotiated domestic and international book publishing and copyright licensing agreements.
