Mr. Browde's been my attorney for over a decade and has saved my skin time and time again. Honest, trustworthy, and fantastic results every time I needed him. I've recommended him to many friends over time, and everyone has been impressed by his breadth of knowledge and successful results.

David Browde provided my startup business invaluable help with incorporation and trademark assistance. He was always professional while being personable and friendly, which is too rare in the world of lawyers. I have happily recommended him to friends and family who are looking for a lawyer in New York.

  • Horrible and unethical attorney

David Browde represented me during my divorce. He was very unprofessional and conducted himself in a very unethical manner. After I filed for divorce he thought it was a good idea " to pop by my then husband's office " to serve him with the divorce papers since " he was passing thorough grand central close by my ex's place of work anyway and it was on his way home to Westchester " - to use his own words. Completely unprofessional and not only did he humiliate my ex husband by doing this it left bad blood that we have still not been able to overcome. In addition, he signed of on an order of protection to have it revoked without my consent and without letting me know that he had done so, which caused me to look like I was not serious about the domestic violence I endured during my marriage. He was very unknowledgable and unfamiliar with NY law and not up to date with rules and regulations. A total waste of $15,000 that he collected for less than 3 weeks of work. A complete disaster, do not retain this attorney under any circumstances!

David Alexander Browde’s response: “While not every client is going to be perfectly pleased, this posting by an individual who was, 4 1/2 years ago, a client for a very brief time is factually inaccurate and entirely misleading. This individual retained my firm in June 2011. At the client's specific request and in order to avoid delays and costs in having to hire a process server, so that we could quickly file an emergency motion, I personally served her former husband at his office immediately after filing the documents in Supreme Court, New York County, initiating the divorce case. Three weeks into the representation the client, as is her right, changed attorneys (the first of several such changes of attorneys during her years of ensuing litigation). And even after changing attorneys the client repeatedly called me asking for help on issues she couldn't get resolved through her new attorney - something that would seem unlikely if she truly believed me to be "unknowledgable and unfamiliar with NY law and not up to date with rules and regulations.". The one thing this client didn't do was pay her bill. Instead, as is her, right, she filed a request for a fee arbitration. But despite obtaining multiple adjournments, when the arbitration was finally held in April 2013 she didn't show up, resulting in a judgment being issued against her. When part of her case against her former husband settled in 2014, under an order from the judge handling the divorce case, her former husband's attorney paid part of the judgment amount out of money that would otherwise have been due the former client. This week the former client demanded that I file a satisfaction of the full judgment against her, and then, when I showed her that the judgment had not been fully satisfied, instead of paying the judgment - years after the brief representation ended - she filed the above "review." While some issues can not be publicly discussed because of the rules governing the conduct of attorneys in New York, some specific points can be made: 1. Attorneys in New York do not sign Orders of Protection, nor do they sign to have orders of protection revoked. 2. It would seem highly unlikely that in a marriage in which a party claims to have been the victim of domestic violence that it was the service of a divorce summons that caused "bad blood that we have still not been able to overcome." It's unfortunate that some individuals resort to this kind of action - and I hope that the other reviews give you an idea of the kind of representation I give clients on a daily basis.”

David helped me with an extremely difficult and on going situation, After trying and failing to represent myself I sought legal advice and retained David immediately, This was by far the best decision I ever made,. David explained my options and worked tirelessly to help my situation. In court he showed his expertise maintaining composure while securing me a positive verdict I was not expecting. David worked with me in terms of payments and always maintained contact and apprised me of any new developments. I highly recommend.

Hello, my name is Michelle and I want to share that David assisted me with a difficult situation and he was the consummate professional. He explained the process every step of the way, he was available by phone, email and text. He made sure that I was up to date on all aspects of my case and he answered all my questions in a timely manner. Even when he couldn't speak due to other obligations he gave a time and he called back at that time. Thank you David.

I had so much anxiety about my custody/child support case. Not only did Dave calm my fears, he did so with knowledge and action...not just lip service. He made it clear that I was in capable hands via the extremely thorough manner in which he addressed the other lawyer, leaving nothing for the other side to use as leverage. He found ample evidence to dispute their false financial claims. He called their every bluff. And he shot down their every threat by virtue of the fact that he showed example after example after example of why they had NOTHING to go on. He did all of this not with hot air or semantics. He did it with attention to detail, relentless presentation of indisputable facts, and KNOWLEDGE of the LAW! Every tiny matter I was worried about being an issue, he managed beautifully. If you're dealing with someone who has hired a less than honest lawyer trying to stick it to you, get Dave Browde on your side. He will show them up, down, and sideways that no one is going to pull a fast one on his client! Thanks again to Dave for getting my child what she deserves and solidifying my custody situation without room for any grey areas. Couldn't be happier!

  • Horrible Lawyer

David Browde is the most unprofessional Lawyer I've ever did business with. You definitely get what you pay for. He hangs up on his clients, he shows up in court not knowing what is actually going on in the case, he doesn't offer settlements and makes you write them up then charges you for them. He isn't proactive in your case, and make you constantly ask questions only to charge you again for them. After 4 years on my case he doesn't even know my home address.

David Alexander Browde’s response: “In Family Law on occasion you get a client who is unhappy when confronted with reality regarding his situation. Suffice it to say that this individual's comments about not knowing what's going on in his case, not offering settlement and billing are utterly unfounded, and his posting of comments on an ongoing case is particularly unwise. It may be of note that his comment was posted immediately after he was served with papers initiating a process by which my firm sought to drop him as a client. I'm constrained by ethical rules not to respond with additional specifics regarding his unfortunate situation, but I consider what he wrote to be both false and defamatory. Nonetheless we wish him the best of luck in resolving his case. I'd refer anyone reading this to the other reviews and comments from clients, and urge those worried about this individual's statements to feel free to call me and ask any questions you may have.”

Trust me.My exwife and I have had a verbal agreement since 2002 for 366.66 dollars less that my last court mandate. Imoved to a different state still paid her every month and she felt she needed to bring our payments back into the family support registry in January 2009. from the day she did that I was brought back to my ORIGINAL court mandate. She told me that she tried to tell them that we had a verbal agreement for less money every month but could not get them to reduce it to our agrrement. In December 2011 I needed to get a lawyer. I spoke to David and had him take my case. We finnally went to court last week. My exwife told the judge about our agreement and said that she did not want that money. To make a long story short the state of New York does not care what ANYONE says. If you have a court mandate the court abides by that mandate no matter what! Because I waited for 3 years I have over $15,000.00 in arears that I now have to pay! David was able to talk my exwife into minimal money per month per month for 2 childrrens and payment. on the arears. He was able to get my child support lowered by $816.44 per month! HE IS THE BEST!!!!!
