In addition to being a lawyer, I especially enjoy writing and recently launched www.reallifelegal.com - which is a legal-self help book series - ala Cliff's Notes. I've written books on estate planning, elder law and what to do when someone dies. I also like to write fiction on the side
In addition to my law practice, I especially enjoy my pets and my children who are now grown and living far away. That makes for a lot of enjoyable travel to see them.
I've been the position that many of my clients find themselves in: shepherding a parent through their elder years. To me, all the planning is not an academic exercise. I know what happens when the rubber meets the road and the swirling emotional and economic concerns that often accompany it. That helps me with planning for my clients.
For younger clients, seeking to write a will or name a guardian, I counsel that any plan is better than none. You can always change it! It's important to have legal documents in place to safeguard your business and your personal wealth.
I'm a tax lawyer by training so I have a skillset that is not often found in a small firm in Westchester County. I've specialized in personal taxes, employee benefits, executive compensation, business buy/sells, estate tax planning and even international tax planning, over the course of my career. I also have an advanced degree in taxes so tax planning is integral to all work I do.
I'm also admitted in Florida for those who are snowbirds.
Thanks for stopping by!
