About Me

DAVID M. ODDO, a member of the firm, is a prominent New York trial attorney known for his meticulous preparation and attention to detail, which has resulted in many large verdicts and settlements.  Mr. Oddo is personally active in every aspect of his client’s case. He has dedicated his career to representing people whose lives have been devastated by the recklessness of others.

As an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office (1989-1993), Mr. Oddo fought for crime victims in his prosecution of serious criminal cases. He then brought his passion for justice, as well as his vast trial experience, to private practice specializing in the litigation and trial of complex civil cases in the fields of medical malpractice, products liability and catastrophic personal injury cases. “ I love being a trial lawyer. Very few professions can make such a difference in people’s lives.” Mr. Oddo believes strongly that his practice has a larger purpose, to “fight for improvements in medical care and product safety. I am confident that our efforts contribute to bringing about a safer world, whether it be adequate medical care or safer cars or drugs.”

Mr. Oddo has skillfully and successfully handled complex cases in New York and Connecticut State Courts as well as in the United States Federal Courts. As a former State prosecutor, he is also an experienced criminal defense attorney.  He has handled many high profile criminal cases and has won numerous acquittals for his clients throughout the State.

Mr. Oddo received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Cortland in 1986.  He obtained his Juris Doctorate at the Jacob D. Fushberg Law Center at Touro College (1989), where he was an Editor of the Touro Law Review (1988-1989).  He was admitted to the New York State and Connecticut Bar in 1990 and is also admitted in the United States District Courts, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York (1993).  He is a member of the New York State Lawyers Association and the Former Assistant District Attorneys Association.  He has also served as a lecturer for the Nassau Academy of Law and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
