I concentrate primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Litigation, Elder Law and Medicaid Planning, Asset Protection, Estates and Trusts Administration, and Special Needs Planning.
Using various techniques, I give my clients the peace of mind knowing that their estate plans will protect their loved ones and secure their wealth for the next generation. I counsel executors, trustees, and other fiduciaries in connection with their probate, tax, financial and other obligations. I counsel my clients in connection with planning for their Special Needs child, as well as their own disability issues and need for long-term care. I also represent individuals and assists them in obtaining Medicaid and other government benefits to pay for long-term home care and nursing home care.
I am a frequent lecturer for various financial institutions, civic groups and community organizations, and am often presented by the New York State Bar Association as a community educator on various topics. I am also a legal commentator on trusts and estates and elder law matters for TruTV, Court TV, CNN Headline News and The CBS Early Show. In addition, I am approved as a continuing education credit provider by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and the Connecticut Department of Insurance.
I am admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut; am a peer-elected member of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, the Estate Planning Council of New York City, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; and am a member of the Trusts and Estates Section and Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. I am a graduate of Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and earned my J.D. degree from Touro Law School in Huntington, New York.
