About Me

I have been a criminal defense attorney for over 30 years with experience in a wide array of cases from shoplifting to murder, to complex white collar cases. I am listed in Super Lawyers, by Thomson Reuters and I have been given a "Pre-eminent" rating from Martindale Hubbell.  On LinkedIn I have been endorsed by numerous other attorneys and you can see my endorsements and reviews here. I am one of the few attorneys who is equally adept at trials and appeals and I can combine excellent writing skills with good communication skils in the trial court.  As you will see on this site and even more on my own web site, I have published and lectured widely in the area of criminal law and its nexis with immigration law.  For that reason, for immigrants, I am very sensitive to the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and I have a great deal of experience negotiating pleas that minimize the immigration consequence.  I also have a lot of experience attacking old convictions that are causing immigration problems.  Please contact us if you have any further questions.

I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Richman is an excellent attorney and genuinely cares for his clients. Unlike many attorneys, he WILL return your phone calls and emails promptly. If you are seeking to reopen a criminal conviction because of an immigration issue then he is the only attorney in this area that I would recommend.

I strongly recommend Labe Richman. I have dealt with Labe for approximately 15 years. I am an immigration attorney. Whenever I have a client that needs post conviction relief to avoid deportation, I send my client to Labe. In fact, most immigration lawyers that I know refer their clients that need post conviction relief to Labe. He has had incredible success with getting convictions vacated. While Labe is well known in the legal community for his post conviction work, he is very good at all aspects of criminal law. In fact, he used to teach trial advocacy at a law school. He is someone who is very hard working that cares about his clients.
