About Me

I have been a criminal defense attorney for over 30 years with experience in a wide array of cases from shoplifting to murder, to complex white collar cases. I am listed in Super Lawyers, by Thomson Reuters and I have been given a "Pre-eminent" rating from Martindale Hubbell.  On LinkedIn I have been endorsed by numerous other attorneys and you can see my endorsements and reviews here. I am one of the few attorneys who is equally adept at trials and appeals and I can combine excellent writing skills with good communication skils in the trial court.  As you will see on this site and even more on my own web site, I have published and lectured widely in the area of criminal law and its nexis with immigration law.  For that reason, for immigrants, I am very sensitive to the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and I have a great deal of experience negotiating pleas that minimize the immigration consequence.  I also have a lot of experience attacking old convictions that are causing immigration problems.  Please contact us if you have any further questions.

I endorse this lawyer. A lawyer can accomplish certain things. A compassionate lawyer can accomplish far better things. Mr. Richman is of the latter variety.

  • Ruchi Thaker

Labe is one of the best criminal defense attorneys I know. I have known him for over 10 years and I have referred many immigration clients who need help with criminal matters. Labe is what I call the "last resort" for clients trying to overturn a criminal conviction or attempt to challenge the legality of a conviction. I feel that "if Labe can't do it, no one else can." Labe is thorough, diligent, responsive, and all of my clients who have worked with him have informed me of the value of his legal services. I endorse Labe without any hesitations.
