    The Bureau of Prisons takes the inmate's residence into consideration but there are no guarantees. In addition, do not try to game the system as that could make things worse.

    Unless you had a contract or union protection you could be fired for no reason or any reason except for an unlawful reason such as based on gender, race, religion, etc.

    You don't go to jail for this. The company may be able to sue you for the remainder due under the contract and/or repossess the guitar.

    Yes. The ring was given in contemplation of marriage, which did not happen. Under New York law he gets the ring back. It does not matter that he broke it off.

    She should hire a good criminal defense lawyer to get the bench warrant vacated and resolve the case for her. I have done this on many occasions in similar situations and believe there are ways to get the case dismissed.

    What is the legal basis for seaking treble damages? You cannot just do it because you feel like it; it has to be authorized by a statute.
