Peter Allegra and his son Ed are both very knowledgable lawyers. Working with them on my case was a very positive experience. They kept me in involved every step of the way. I would highly recommend them both as a lawyer and wouldn't think twice about using them and their law firm again.

24 years ago I needed an immigration layer and I found Mr. Allegra in the yellow pages (there was no Internet back then). I called him to ask if he would handle my case. He said that I had to make an appointment an pay for a consultation and so I did. After charging me $50 in advance and describing my situation to him...I had an electrical engineering college degree an a company willing to hire me. He stood there with a straight face and told me that there was nothing that could be done, that company could not legally hire me and I had to go back to my country. The whole thing took no longer than 10 minutes. Disheartened I decided to get a second opinion. I found another lawyer, a real immigration lawyer this time. Six weeks later I had an H-1 (work) visa and a legal job as an engineer. I realized then that this person probably made his money. No need to take any job or to know anything about immigration law for the matter. Just charge for the consultation and dispatch the client very quickly with false information.
I later became a legal resident an eventually a US citizen. I have had a successful and fulfilling engineering career in America...And to think that I almost gave it all up because of this..."immigration lawyer"
