Practice Area:Domestic Violence
Outcome:Criminal charge dismissed
Description:My client (a professor) and his wife were on the brink of a divorce when an argument ensued. It started in the house and travelled outside, where his wife stubbed her toe. She called 9-1-1 and tried to blame her "injury" on her husband, claiming that he was abusive and had thrown her to the ground. Thankfully, my client had recorded the incident on his phone - and the recording captured his wife actually attacking him. Accordingly, we were able to provide proof/evidence that the charges were unfounded. The case was dismissed by the State at our first appearance.
