I've dealt with a few immigration attorney's regarding my case, but no one was able to resolve my immigration matter and just kept me hanging. It wasn't until I came to Harlan York's firm that I actually had hope of a positive outcome. To cut a long story short - I've waited and wasted almost 15+ years for my immigration case to end with a positive outcome, which Harlan's team (Lauren and Riki) resolved in 2 1/2 years. Only reason it even took that long was because the court postponed dates; otherwise I'm sure it would've taken much lesser time. Not only did my case get approved, but I'll be receiving my green card within 3 months. Anyone and everyone reading this - PLEASE DO NOT waste your time and money with other attorney's, instead contact Harlan York's Firm ASAP!!
Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!!
Harlan York and Associates helped me with my deportation case and helped me keep my green card. This firm is very thorough and pay attention to every detail which made my case go smoothly. I highly recommend this firm to anyone with any immigration issues.
Mr. Harlan York is the best immigration attorney I have spoken to. Why? His legal advice and counseling come second. First, I felt treated as a person not a client, with empathy and attention. Second, I was given a chance to speak and explain my situation and never felt at pressure of spending his time and/or uncomfortable while chatting with him.
After listening, Mr. York gave me true, precise, specific, and professional advice about my situation. He is very legally alphabetic person.
It was not about charging fees, as many other legal aid secretaries ask for before you can even hear the attorney’s voice. With Mr. York, as it has always been, it is about listening and identifying with your case, it is about him wanting to help you, it is about loving what he does, not from the money side, but getting involved to resolve your case.
He will not close the door to your face because you cannot pay for a consultation fee. That happened with me. He answered my call personally again today, after almost two years of non-communication. And for free.
Finally, what I appreciate the most is his honesty. He is brutally honest, something we see less and less nowadays, especially in the “legal” world. He will listen to you, and if there is not much to be done in one’s case (because of the law) he will tell you straight forward. I wonder where he finds his time to assist so many people like me.
Thank you for your time, honesty, professionalism and the free valuable advice Mr. York.
Best wishes for you, to be able to help those in need.
Saludos from Mexico City Sir.
From the very first consolation with Mr. York to the special day we received our letter that we were approved for a green card, this entire firm made us feel comfortable and that we were in good hands. They responded to phone calls and questions very quickly and efficiently. They were always courteous and polite and made us fell we were a special client. If you want to feel at ease about the whole process. Any time we were uncomfortable, we would email them with our situation and immediately they made us feel better. I could thank them enough for all there help and hard work. A 5 STAR FIRM

I had the best experience with Harlan York & Associates!
Just when my husband and I thought it was impossible for me to immigrate to the states without having to miss each other for months, I contacted Mr.York, and he immediately made me feel better about our case. My husband is military and he's stationed in North Carolina. Due to his last marriage we can't afford much because he has to pay a lot of child support each month so money is tight. When we explained the situation to Mr. York, he immediately offered to work with us pro bono!!! An absolute gift from heaven as we had given up hope!! My husband and I got married November 10th 2014 and as I'm writing this review its June 29th 2015 and I got approved for my green card last week!! We are so relieved! It wouldn't have even taken this long if it weren't for me having issues gathering the paperwork together! Mr. York and Miss Lauren Anselowitz were there for the whole process, immediately responded to my emails when I had questions, Lauren even called me a couple of days before the interview to give me some advice and tips! She was the one that helped out the most and we could not be happier!! If it weren't for this firm I would've been back in Belgium, separated from my lovely husband!
I truly and highly recommend them and my heart goes out to them! We are now living together and getting ready to start a family, without Harlan York & associates we wouldn't have been able to do this! Thank you!!

We engaged Harlan York and Associates after consulting with several other law firms, searching various web based sources, and speaking with attorneys who practice immigration law. We had previously had our case handled by another firm which didn’t perform anything efficiently except their process for sending us bills for services. In meeting with Mr. York and his team, he was very up front in helping us understand how his team would handle our case, the process we would have to follow, and how the case would most likely unfold. He explained how his firm would handle the case, the risks, potential outcomes (good and bad), and the fee’s associated with the case. There were no false promises associated with his explanations, just a clear and easily understood portrayal of what his firm would be doing and the costs associated with this. As our case was an application for lawful status under the VAWA provision, and we were as risk for deportation, there were many complications and nuances that had to be managed through. Mr. York assigned our case to Maggie Dunsmuir, who not only has phenomenal expertise and knowledge in VAWA, but is thorough, thoughtful, empathetic, patient, and was always available to us during the 12 months that we worked with her. Although the VAWA requirements are complex and not entirely black and white, she took the time to thoroughly understand our situation and, over the course of many months, developed our case and ultimately the VAWA application in a manner that provided the most compelling argument possible that we were eligible for VAWA status based on the standards.
We had many multi-hour meetings with her at her office and we never felt rushed. She was bought into our case 100%, and many times I felt like she wanted to achieve a successful outcome for us as much as we did for ourselves. We exchanged many emails and phone calls over this time. She was always there for us and her follow up was timely, thorough, and thoughtful. In May of 2015 she called us with the news we had been waiting for – the VAWA application was approved !! We were ecstatic and had a hard time processing this great piece of information. Now we are working with her to apply for lawful permanent resident status and I’m confident the experience will be another positive one. This is a real success story made possible by Harlan York and Associates and Maggie. We can’t thank the firm enough for making this possible. I recommend them without reservation.

Mr York assisted us with the immigration process for my husband after the denial of the I-601A provisional waiver. We visited 3 different lawyers but after meeting with him we knew he was going to help us be successful. After two years of waiting for the entire process; my husband is now a lawful permanent resident. Riki was instrumental in managing our case. Riki is extremely professional, courteous, and responsive. We always received an answer on any of our questions in less than 24 hours. Our family is very thankful for their valuable help. They met our expectations 100% and we are very confident in recommending as Great lawyers. JCC

Harlan York & Associates is one if the most professional, knowledgeable and experienced law firms that I've ever encountered. I was awed by the manner in which they handled my case and the fact that they were genuine and sincere was an added bonus. Mr. Harlan York and Ms. Mary Lynn Seery were fantastic and made feel at ease. My conditional green card expired years ago and I was hopeless and terrified that I would be deported even though my children are US citizens. It is due to their hard work and diligence that I am still in the United States of America with my children. I am eternally grateful.

I found Harlan York's company through Google reviews and they turned out to be a most amazing team of lawyers! Prior to that I had consulted a few other lawyers unsuccessfully regarding my very complicated green card applicatio, and I can't thank Mr York, Lauren Anselowitz and Rikki King enough for not only taking my case, but making it successful. It took a few years, a great deal of patience and creativity on their part, and several applications but they did it! You cannot find a better or more committed team of lawyers anywhere. Please call them, don't think your case is too complex!

Mr. York and his entire law firm should be the standard for which every other law firm strives for. Harlan is extremely knowledgeable and is current on immigration law. His dedication and commitment to his practice and clients is uncompromised, and is clearly evident with his results.
Mr. York assigned Riki King to our case, although Mr. York oversaw our entire case. Riki is OUTSTANDING! I can't say enough wonderful things about her. Her email replies to us were prompt and she answered every concern we had. She was with us from the very beginning to the very end.
My case was very complex and when multiple lawyers advised against moving forward or commented that it "couldn't be done", Harlan and Riki proved them all wrong.
I've dealt with quite a few lawyers and law firms previous to Mr. Harlan, and I can say without hesitation, he and his team are without a doubt, THE BEST law firm, that I have had the pleasure of working with. If you want an intelligent law team, personal service, and exceptional results, then look no further.
