I have been a huge fan of Maureen's since I first met her, which is quite a few years ago, and my regard has only grown. Usually when someone from the Southeast says of someone that "She is the Northeast" it isn't meant as well as I mean it, but she has been the soul of our operation up there for years. She's also perhaps one of the nicest people I've ever met, with a high tolerance for, even interest in, smart, slightly off-kilter people and their ideas. That trait is so strong in her I've rarely seen it equaled, and I grew up among researchers, a famously/infamously quirky lot. That is a great trait for an IP litigator, but it isn't as common among attorneys as one would think.
