About Me 

Amber L. Tucker practices in the areas of criminal law, family law, personal injury and general civil litigation.

 

Amber previously served as a prosecutor for the Maine Attorney General’s Office, specializing in felony drug crimes, and as an Assistant Public Defender in Tampa, Florida, where she represented thousands of individuals in felony and misdemeanor cases. Amber has tried over 60 cases to verdict, more than half of which were jury trials and has litigated numerous evidentiary hearings.

 

Representative jury trials in which Amber was the lead defense attorney include:

 

  • State of Florida v. Anderson:
    Attempted Murder – found guilty of lesser offense of Aggravated Battery

 

  • State of Florida v. Gipson:
    Aggravated Assault w/Firearm – Acquitted
    Possession of Firearm by Felon – Acquitted

 

  • State of Florida v. Clemmons:
    Delivery of Cocaine – Acquitted
    Possession of Cocaine – Acquitted

 

Amber was an adjunct professor of sociology and criminology at the University of New England and has taught seminars in drug law and drug crime investigation to law enforcement officers throughout Maine.

 

Amber is originally from Rhode Island, but grew up in Fryeburg, Maine. She lived in Florida for eleven years before returning to Maine.  Amber enjoys boating, sunshine, and traveling to Gillette Stadium to watch the New England Patriots.
