About Me

I founded Maine Land Law LLC, PA as a solo law firm in 2009, and joined with colleagues to co-found Douglas McDaniel Campo & Schools in October 2013. Drawing on my background in land conservation and civil litigation experience in state and federal courts in Maine, I focus my Maine Land Law practice on land use and property law. The other lawyers in my firm practice in a broad selection of civil and criminal law areas.

I truly enjoy helping clients determine what they can and cannot do with their property. I provide land use opinions, and help clients obtain (or challenge) land use permits at the municipal and state agency level, including judicial appeals if necessary. I help clients resolve boundary and easement disputes through litigation or settlement. I also negotiate conservation easements, trail easements and licences, and assist in real estate transactions.

Sarah is a brilliant and creative attorney with the highest of ethical standards. Her knowledge of real estate and land use law is impeccable. Sarah has unique expertise in the planning and drafting of conservation easements, as she has degrees both in Law (Harvard) and Environmental Studies (Yale). She is one of the few attorneys I know who truly loves her work -- a factor that undoubtedly helps to sustain the excellence of her legal practice.
