Jason helped me with a case involving a violent ex-partner who was continuing to make my life difficult through legal means. I had actually consulted with Jason in the early stages. Where other lawyers were jaded, merely half-listening to the situation and quick to secure their fee, Jason was empathetic yet straightforward: he pointed out that with a little effort I could handle the matter myself and shouldn't have to spend the money. When the situation became complicated hiring Jason was an easy decision. I recommend him as your attorney without hesitation. Here's why: not only was Jason pro-active throughout our dealings and in his handling of the case, but he was also consistently intelligent, strategic, and effective in securing results and in offering advice. He patiently guided me through the mess of legalities involved in cross-jurisdiction. He tenaciously followed up with all the parties involved and he clearly logged more hours than he billed. He showed genuine concern throughout the process and treated me like a human being and not just a client. All this, as well as his calm confidence, helped me get through one of the most stressful and difficult times I've had to experience and I will be ever grateful for his work.
He had a frivolous case dismissed and expunged very quickly. He was an active listener, as well as offering sound practical advice. He answered all the questions we had quickly and precisely and followed up on everything.
I was on a special work assignment in Providence RI when I was pulled over and arrested for DUI. Besides being an "out of towner" there were other complications that could have led to some pretty serious charges. Attorney Knight, responded to my call for help within 30 minutes, saw me the next morning, calmed me down with his empathy and was in court for me 2 days after my arrest.
My assignment was ending and I was due to fly back home 5 days after my arrest, but I couldn't do that unless I had the court's permission to do so. He was able to get me permission to leave the state, permission to represent me w/out me having to go back to RI to appear in court and was able to negotiate a great "settlement" on my behalf.
Without giving all details to my case, I just want to tell everyone who is considering using him, that he IS what he says he is; does what he says he's going to do; calls when he says he going to call, and on top of knowing the laws and where to find the right answers, he was very professional and listened/explained what the legal processes were going to be like and understood my issue. His integrity in handling my case and handling my issue, was very high.
I TOTALLY AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING ATTORNEY JASON KNIGHT!!
I hired Atty Knight for a debt collection case I had going back to 2001. He was the 3rd lawyer I hired for this case and was truly cut from a different cloth. He was straight up,he backed up his talk with action and he was extremely knowledgeable. Atty Knight was very fair on the price, honored our atty /client arrangement when there was extra work and treated me like a valued client at all times. He did all kinds of research and extra work which my case required and even found it exciting and intoxicating to do! In fact Atty Knight was such a great lawyer to work with I have no desire to work with anyone else. He took care of my collection case so quickly and without any problems that I am still somewhat in shock. They should all be like Jason Knight.
When our child was denied special education services, and four written requests for her records were denied by the principal of our child's school, we hired Mr. Knight. Not only did he guide us through the system, he recommended the appropriate clinical professionals to evaluate our child's abilities. The clinicians found that our daughter did in fact have a significant disability, which had also been found by the school department's screening exam. Mr. Knight succeeded in getting the school to release our child's *entire* educational record, including the screening exam the school did not want us to see. He succeeded in getting the school to initiate an RTI (Response to Intervention) while the clinical evaluations proceeded. And he represented us at every RTI and IEP evaluation meeting until the school made the appropriate decision to provide our child with the special education services she will need to learn. None of those outcomes would have happened without Mr. Knight's representation. We simply could not have navigated the complexity of a system that was completely alien and seemingly stacked against us. Without Mr. Knight, our child would have been doomed to fail in school. We can never thank him enough.
