Randy Scott Chapman
About MeI have been practicing for 25 years and have been recognized for being a zealous advocate for my clients. I pride myself on maintaining a high level of ethical standards, and an excellent level of service to my clients. While I respect those who do court appointed work, my practice is limited to those who are capable of retaining an attorney.
I have been practicing for over 25 years, with a primary focus on criminal law at the state and federal level. I also handle personal injury cases. I am a past President of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, which is the pre-eminent bar association in the state for criminal defense practitioners.
In 2011, I was appointed by the Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court to serve on the prestigous Task Force on Judicial Hiring. The Task Force was created in response to a scandel surrounding the Probation Department hiring and promotion practices. It is comprised of nationally recognized leaders in the legal and business community. In 2005, I was appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court to its Standing Advisory Committee on the Rules of Criminal Procedure. Additionally, I am on the Board of Editors of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, and have also served on the Cirriculum Advisory Committee for Criminal Law for Mass. Continuing Legal Education. I am also a legal analyst for New England Cable News.
I have previously served as an Assistant District Attorney, practicing at both the district and superior court levels. I was the chief of the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit, and oversaw all prosecutions involving fatalities in motor vehicles. |
